Marie-Laurence Faure-Lepetit

Head of Digital Trade Channels | BNP Paribas

Marie-Laurence Faure-Lepetit joined BNP Paribas in 1997, bringing with her a strong foundation in engineering and business, earned through her degree in Engineering and an MBA. Following a stint in consulting, she embarked on a diverse career within the Bank, holding various leadership positions in B2B and Cash Management. A key milestone was her relocation to Belgium, where she spearheaded the development of Digital Channels solutions following the merger between BNP Paribas and Fortis. In 2015, Marie-Laurence relocated to Singapore, where she oversaw Cash Management products for the Asia Pacific region. She transitioned to Trade Finance in 2018 and has since been driving the development of Digital Trade Channels, leveraging her expertise to shape the future of trade finance.

 

Martina Weimart

CEO | EPI (European Payments Initiative) Company

Martina Weimert is the CEO of the European Payments Initiative (EPI Company). She leads one of the major payments initiatives in Europe.  She’s a famous expert in payments with strong expertise in consulting. She has been the CEO of EPI Company since 2020. She is one of the industry’s famous women leaders. She speaks many foreign languages and leads a strong project for European payments. She is active and participates in many events linked with payments in both France and internationally.

Hamal has more than 20 years’ experience within the IT services industry and has also spent a decade in the payments’ arena. Prior to joining EPI Company in early 2023, Hamal was head of Global Business Development and Sales Manager (Belgium) at Worldline Financial Services. He has also held a number of positions with worldwide organisations including IBM, EDS, HP, and Atos Origin.

Hamal holds a Master’s degree in Commercial and Business Engineering from the University of Hasselt and KU Leuven, Belgium, and a Master’s in Marketing Management from the Vlerick Management School.

Florence Ségurel

President of the Payment Commission | AFTE

Florence Ségurel is the President of the Payment Commission of the Association of French Treasurers (AFTE), Vice-President of the French National Committee on Payments (CNMP) and a member of the European Retail Payments Board (ERPB). After 14 years in various finance, accounting and auditing roles, she joined SNCF in 2012 and has, since January 2021, served as Head of Payments for SNCF Voyageurs. Florence Ségurel holds a Master’s degree in management and is also a chartered accountant.

 

Guylaine Vandooren

Guylain Vandooren heads FleishmanHillard Brussels financial services and technology practice, a team of 45 consultants specialising in European regulatory and policy developments in finance and technology. Since 2021 Vandooren has worked closely with the EACT Chair and the FRAG group to ensure European corporate treasurers’ voice is represented in European policy and regulatory debates. Vandooren has over 17 years experience in advising businesses in relation to their European public and policy affairs strategies. Prior to joining FleishmanHillard Brussels, she worked for Fortis Investment Management and for Mazars.  She is a graduate from Sciences Po Paris.

Benedicte Daguet has been EU Public Affairs Leader at Ingka Group | IKEA since June 2024. In her role, she oversees corporate affairs and treasury matters, ESG reporting, and investments. Before joining Ingka Group, Benedicte led the sustainable finance and corporate governance team at Afore Consulting, a financial services-specialized public affairs consultancy. She also spearheaded sustainability and corporate responsibility projects at Association Florimont, a French NGO. Benedicte holds a degree from Maastricht University.

Kirsty Craig leads the EMEA & APAC Treasury Operations for General Mills, Inc. (GMI), a global manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer foods sold through retail stores. The GMI portfolio includes Cheerios, Betty Crocker & Häagen-Dazs. A Fortune 500 company, GMI is headquartered in Minneapolis, USA and is listed on the NYSE.

Craig’s scope covers Cash & liquidity, In-House Banking, Foreign Exchange hedging & Bank Account management topics. She is also involved in M&A & Treasury optimisation initiatives.

Craig is based in Nyon, Switzerland. Prior to this role, she worked on Foreign Exchange Hedging topics at EATON, in Switzerland and in India.

Chiara Baruta

Chiara advises the European Association of Corporate Treasurers on its advocacy strategy in relation to payments. Chiara works as an EU public affairs consultant  at FleishmanHillard Brussels and specialises in payments and crypto legislation. Prior to this, she worked at the  European Commission and with Confindustria.  She holds a BA in International Relations from University of Essex, and Masters in Policy Analysis from Bocconi University.

Souleïma Baddi

Experienced business leader and board representative, Souleïma Baddi is a former banker and the former head of trade and commodity finance for Société Générale in Switzerland.

Since 2018, she is the founder and CEO of Komgo, a global software development and technology services company offering trade services and the largest multi-bank platform supporting the successful digitalisation of trade finance industry.

She holds a Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics and Economics from ENSAE, and more than 25 years of in-depth experience in trade finance, banking, and the technologies at the heart of their evolution.

Fabian Trostorf

Trostorf joined the German multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Bayer almost nine years ago as an IT engineer. He worked his way up through various posts at the group HQ in Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia. These included that of application engineer, solution engineer in treasury, and product architect – all building towards his current role, which he stepped into in January 2023. His past projects include cloud transformation and the implementation of SAP solutions with Bayer.

Trostorf holds both a BA (business informatics) and an MA from the Fachhochschule der Wirtschaft (FHDW). His MA is in IT management and he wrote his MA thesis on ML in finance and accounting.

Iliana Angelakis

Head of Treasury | OKTO

Angelakis joined the Athens-based fintech OKTO last autumn, where she is responsible for all treasury operations across the group’s 27 entities. Prior to that, she held senior treasury roles at Greek businesses Public Group and Beat, where her many achievements include the successful roll-outs of major initiatives for payments, refinancing, and the automation of many treasury tasks. Her career within the profession started at Intralot, where she joined as an executive assistant in 2002 and worked her way up to the role of treasury analyst in 2008.

Angelakis, who is a board member of the Hellenic Association of Treasurers, holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester, UK, and a BSc in Business Administration from The American College of Greece as well as a number of professional certificates.

Markus has over 20 years of experience in financial services. He started his career at Deutsche Bundesbank, before holding various management positions for 15 years at Siemens Financial Services in Germany and the US from 2000.

As Head of Supply Chain Finance at Siemens, Markus worked in Siemens Treasury where he led global teams that developed and implemented the Siemens-wide supply chain finance program.

Prior to joining Orbian in 2018, Markus led the Business Development at an Asset Management and a Fintech Company in Switzerland.

Wim Grosemans

Sarah Carlson

Sarah has been the lead analyst for most countries in the European Union, and is also a former lead analyst for the United States. She is currently the lead analyst for France and Italy, among other European countries. She is also one of the Sovereign Risk Group’s global spokespeople.

She joined Moody’s in 2009 after completing a Sloan Fellowship at the London Business School. Prior to this academic sabbatical, she spent seven years at the Financial Services Authority in London where she headed the regulator’s Risk Analysis area and acted as its chief macroeconomist. Before joining the FSA, she worked in Dun & Bradstreet’s Economic Analysis Group for six years, where she was the organisation’s Deputy Chief Economist.

She holds an MA in European Studies (with a concentration in Economics and Finance) from the Elliott School of International Affairs at the George Washington University in Washington, DC and an AB with a double major in Government and History from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in the United States. She is a CFA Charterholder and is co-chair of the Macroeconomic Committee of the CFA Society France. She is a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States and is based in Paris.

Roman Filipoiu

CFO | SPP Distribucia

Filipoiu joined Deloitte in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, in 2003, where he rose to the position of senior auditor before moving into the energy sector in 2007. He was Head of the Controlling Department, as well as Deputy CFO and Acting CFO at gas-storage giant NAFTA. During this period, he was also Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Karotáž a Cementace and Naftárska Leasingová Spoločnosť.

In 2009, Filipoiu took over as CFO for the nation’s gas distribution network SPP-distribucia, where he is also involved with energy legislation and liaising with state administration bodies as well as his treasury resposibilities. Roman is also acting as the Group CFO of SPP Infrastructure Group. In 2014, he joined the board of directors of infrastructure company Stredoslovenská distribučná.

Filipoiu completed his financial management studies at the University of Economics, Bratislava. He also holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University, UK.

Séverine Le Blévennec

Séverine Le Blévennec joined the HQ of the Belgian company Aliaxis in June 2021 as Global Head of Treasury with the mandate to build a strong global Treasury organization and drive its digitization.

Previously, she worked 15 years at Honeywell with roles of increasing responsibility in a highly technology-driven environment. She started by running the in-house bank of the group, then built a wide-range expertise managing projects in the fields of cash management, cash investments, EU regulations compliance & lobbying, treasury systems implementation, tax planning and large M&A transactions. Her kaizen spirit and strong appetite for technology had led her to steer Honeywell Treasury transformation and digitization- including using RPA. She ultimately was leading the EMEA Treasury team and acting as global lead for Treasury Technology.

She started her Treasury career journey at GMAC European Treasury Centre where during her 7 years of service she was involved in all aspects of liability management: ECP and EMTN (programs issuances and management), uncommitted and committed bank credit lines (negotiations and documentation), securitization transactions and innovative secured credit lines.

She is a regular speaker at international conferences and has been honoured by numerous international awards but her biggest pride is her two boys.

Pierre Fersztand

Pierre Fersztand is global head of Cash Management, Payments, Trade Solutions and Factoring at BNP Paribas. He joined the Group in 1998 to head the creation of innovative products, services and solutions, following which he was appointed general manager of Interbank society (SEME followed by BMS) to launch the electronic purse ‘Moneo’ in 1999.

Before joining BNP Paribas, Pierre held several positions in the French Civil Service, most notably as Prefect Adviser in the Ile de France Region, followed by Deputy Director at the cabinet of the Minister of Sports of France.

Pierre holds degrees from France’s elite engineering institutes, Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs. He has played a key role in BNP Paribas’ evolution into one of the world’s top transaction banks and is the driving force behind the business’ strong emphasis on co-creation with clients, innovation, reliability and digitisation of solutions and processes.

François Masquelier

François Masquelier was appointed Chair of The European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT) in October 2021. In addition to his role at EACT, François also manages his own Consultancy firm, Simply Treasury.

Prior to this he was President of the Association of Corporate Treasurers of Luxembourg (ATEL), as well as Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury and Chief Risk Officer of RTL Group.

Over the last 20 years he has published more than 300 articles in different newspapers and professional magazines, as well as I have 5 books on treasury, cash management and IFRS standards on financial instruments.
